There are lots of great ways to find quality stables in your area but it’s hard to know where to turn. If you have questions about how to find the best place for your thoroughbreds we’ve got some suggestions:
Get Online: There are great message boards all over the web dedicated to talking about specific horse issues so get on your Satellite Internet and search them out. When you find a thread about your area, read through and even post!
Ask a Vet: Find the most reputable horse veterinarian in town and ask them who they’d use. When people in the industry recommend somewhere to you you can usually count on it being a quality care facility.
Ask a Neighboring Stable: Likewise, if you live in a smaller town near a bigger city, say, Athens to Atlanta, GA, find the best stable in the city (search it out online) and talk to them. If they’re big enough they’ll usually have some intel on all the best stables in the state which will at least help narrow your search down.
